Edging Strips

The Click Round Profile, comes im 3mt lengths and is suitable for any thickness of sheet between 1.2mm - 3.0mm. The main advantage of Click Profile is that it makes a floppy sheet rigid, frames perforated sheet and gives a finished look to a panel with very little effort.

As illustrated in the photo of the balustrade, it enables sheets to be utilised and thinner sheets to be used.

This significantly reduces the cost of the perforated by as much as half, if compared with the cost of perforated individual panels with blank margins.

Perforated Louvers

We can supply various louvers in either Mild steel, stainless and Aluminium with various dimensions depending on both the application and architectural needs.

Louvers are generally used in doors to permit the movement of air from one area to another. Our louvers on average generate twenty percent open area.

Louvers are used in many applications ranging from locker doors to air ventilation grilles.

Fine woven wire mesh

Our Plain weave, which is the most common pattern and is used for the majority of various applications, is referred to per inch e.g. No 40 mesh there are 40 strands of wire running in each direction per square inch. Apart from the Plain weave there are also Double Crimped, Square Mesh Twill, Single Plain Dutch or “Hollander” & Plain Twill.

The main advantages of the Stainless steel Woven Wire Cloth is that it’s easy to shape, it’s flexibility and due to its acid and heat resistance makes it ideal for filter screens. Several grades of Stainless steel are available for varying conditions.

The Galvanised Woven wire cloth is the most economically priced metal which is also strong and resistant to abrasion. Galvanising has rendered it corrosion and rust proof. Woven Wire Cloth can also be know as fine woven wire mesh and wire gauze.
The various applications where Woven Wire Cloth is used is as follows, filtration, ventilation, fireguards, fly screens and speaker grilles.

Perforated metal.

We perforate a wide range of round, square, slotted, decorative and even odd shaped perforations on special request. Percentage open area, the most common percentage open area is between 30% and 50% although more extreme open areas are available depending on the perforation. Some times the percentage open area has to be kept lower for increased strength and flatness of the sheet especially when galvanising.

Our maximum material thickness, which we can perforate up to, is 25mm, the most common thickness range for balustrade infill, cladding panels etc. is between 1.5mm and 3.0mm although heavier specifications do away with having to frame the sheets with something like edging profile which we also supply

The maximum width we can perforate up to is 2mt, the preferred maximum is 1.5mt.
The maximum length we can perforate up to is 6mt, the preferred maximum is 4mt.

The most common material types are mild steel, Pre-galvanised mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass and some types of plastics.

Due to recent investment, small quantity uncommonly asked for specifications can now be economically catered for.

Perforated metal is used in many applications such balustrade infill, acoustics, security screens, air-condition units, radiator covers, screening, and display units.

Expanded mesh.

Expanded metal is a process where sheet metal has been slit and expanded into rows of diamond shaped meshes. None of the metal is not lost in the process, nor is the strength of the sheet reduced. The formation of the diamond adds to the rigidity and strength of the sheet. Where strength without excess weight is desired, for free passage of light and air, for utility and beauty in numerous applications, concealed or exposed, expanded metal, in it’s variety of sizes and choice of metals offers exceptional versatility and is economic.

The expanded mesh is used in various applications such as walkways, balustrades, security screens, fences & ventilator grills.

We stock a wide range of specs, which are readily available.

Perforated ducting

Can be made up in mild steel from 6mm to 25mm thick. Perforated to your requirements in a parallel or staggered arrangement. Widths and lengths to specifications. Finish usually offered in mild steel but can be galvanised or painted to customers order.

Stainless steel also available to satisfy health and safety requirements in the food and chemical industries.

A fine aperture is sometimes required in combination with high load bearing properties. A solution may be obtained by placing a thinner, finely perforated sheet on top of the thick plate, which has larger holes. Connection of the two is obtained either by tack welding, or, if the thinner sheet must be removed for cleaning purposes, countersunk screws are applied.

Quarry screens

Our high tensile woven wire quarry screens are manufactured to BS standards from top quality tensile wire to withstand the vigorous treatment they receive in today’s quarries. Apertures range from 1.5mm to 150mm. We can also manufacture slotted and self-cleaning mesh in high tensile wire. All specifications can be manufactured in stainless steel wire.

Our screens can cater for the following fixings, raw edge, hooked wire, and hooked with a welded insert, sheathed hook and a u-shaped hook.

Our stock panels can be cut to your specific overall sizes and hooked if necessary in time for an overnight delivery. The apertures held in stock are the most commonly requested. If required alternative (non-standard) specifications can be manufactured on a standard delivery.

Our Trommel screens are made from both perforated and woven mesh with apertures ranging from 1.5mm up to 150mm in heavy-duty wire and mild steel. The screens are predominately used for recycling of waste. All screens supplied are rolled, folded and bolt holes

Crimped wires

Crimped bars are the by-product of both our quarry screens and our high tensile woven wire mesh panels. They are a simple product, which are easily made from high tensile wire, which can be crimped at various intervals to form a weave effect on the bars.

As they are made from high tensile wire and with the addition of the crimp, this becomes an extremely strong and durable product.

This product can be used on various applications, such as indoor & outdoor furniture, gates, security bars and wrought iron balcony’s.

Woven wire mesh

Our range of Woven wire meshes are manufactured in high tensile steel and stainless steel have up to recently only been supplied as quarry screens for screening stone.

They have now become popular in a number of applications such as balustrade, security screens, ventilation grills and crash barriers.

We can also weave the mesh loosely to enable it to be pushed off square to match the slope of the stairs when being used for balustrade infill. This eliminates waste otherwise caused by cutting parallelograms from standard panels.

Apart from what’s illustrated here, we can also do various other patterns such as a plain slotted mesh, slotted treble schute and the density of the mesh can be regulated by increasing or decreasing the wire thickness in relation to the mesh size i.e. a 25mm clear mesh can be supplied in 3mm to 8mm diameter.

Weld Mesh

Mild steel
Our Welded mesh is a welded steel wire manufactured from copper washed steel conforming to BS1052. It is welded at every intersection to give maximum strength. Because it is welded it can be cut or bent to the shape required without the wires falling apart and forms its own selvage when cut flush. All our welded mesh is produced to the highest standard. Welded mesh is ideal for many applications, such as providing security compounds, window guards, machinery guards, trailer sides and balustrade.

Galvanised
Our Galvanised rolls of welded mesh is electrically welded to give it maximum strength. Galvanised welded mesh can be easily erected for security fencing by various methods such as angle iron, hollow section and wooden uprights. The coils of galvanised welded mesh have a number of uses such as enclosures, partitions, tree guards, cages and aviaries.

Stainless steel
Our Stainless steel Welded mesh sheets are of the highest quality and offer a greater life to that of the Mild steel & Galvanised due to its rustproof ness. Similar to that of the Mild steel mesh, because it is welded it can be cut or bent to the shape required without the wires falling apart and forms its own selvage when cut flush. Stainless steel Welded mesh is essential in areas where hygiene and cleanliness is required such as the food industry, pharmaceutical industry and the chemical industry.
